Notes |
This field is contains a subset of codes applicable to this record from the Course.TTCID field in the Student record. Code 1 includes PGCE, BEd, first degree with Qualified Teacher Status and courses leading concurrently to a degree and to a diploma in Education. Code 2 includes courses leading to Further Education Teacher Qualification and to Nursing and Midwifery Teacher Qualification. FE courses will be specifically identified in Student.ITTPHSC code 31 'Further education'. Code 0 is available for students submitted that are not on an ITT course. When a student has transferred from an ITT course to a non-ITT course at the same institution use code 0 to identify that the student is no longer eligible for funding from the NCTL. Codes 1 and 8 should only be used for trainees eligible for NCTL funding. Please review the Department of Education website for further information on funding eligibility. Institutions are not expected to return a record to HESA for students on SCITT routes (e.g. GTP, OTT and RTP). The NCTL collects this data via the NCTL Data Management System (NCTLDMS). School Direct Training Programme guidanceSchool Direct Training Programme records must now be coded using only Code G. The former codes H, L, M, N and P are no longer valid in this field. School Direct Training Programme records must also complete Student.MSTUFEE. Early Years Initial Teacher Training (EYITT)The coding of EYITT courses in the ITT record will depend upon the route followed by the trainee. All EYITT routes should be recorded as Q 'Early Years Initial Teacher Training' in this field. EYITT records must also complete Student.MSTUFEE. Further guidance on the coding requirements for those on EYITT programmes may be found in the 'Further guidance about Early Years Initial Teacher Training (EYITT) programmes' document. |

Change management notes | Business rule 2 deleted and replaced by Student.TTCID business rules 4-7 which enforce the coverage of the different EYITT entry routes. Business rules 4-7 added to replace Student.TTCID.BusinessRule.2 and individually enforce the coverage of each Early Years ITT entry route available. Business rule 8 added as a sister rule to Student.ITTPHSC.BusinessRule.7 to ensure that only EYITT students will be able to return the appropriate Early Years valid entries. |
