This field records the unique Application ID, also called Application Number, used by the Department for Education’s apply for teacher training online service.

All postgraduate students that apply through the Department for Education’s apply for teacher training online service.

This field records the currently six-digit application ID that is allocated to each application made through the DfE’s apply for teacher training service (Apply).

This field is not required for trainees who did not apply via the Apply service. The APPLYAPPLICATIONID is expected to be a 6-digit number (more information about application id is available here).

The Department for Education request that where it exists for new students, the application ID is returned in this field. This field is optional for continuing students, but providers are encouraged to return it where it exists.
