Upcoming data releases

We publish a range of data releases each year, covering all aspects of higher education.

This page lists planned releases for the next six months. We will confirm the exact date of release at least 4 weeks before publication. If it is necessary to change a publication date, we will update this webpage accordingly. For published statistics please see Open data and official statistics and News and insight. • Higher Education Provider Data: Finance

    Official Statistics

    16 May 2024

An update to our Finance open data to include UK higher education providers with financial year ends of January – July 2023.

Jisc recognises that we have provided less than the normal four weeks pre-announcement period for this publication. This is due to the need to adapt our publication schedules to account for the delay in publication of the 2022/23 student data.

Balancing the earliest possible publication date against the standard four week notice period we considered that earlier publication would be of most value to our users.

  • Higher Education Student Statistics: UK, 2022/23

    Statistical Bulletin

    August 2024

We have completed our enhanced data quality assessment. This will now form the basis of a comprehensive set of quality information for users of the publications. It also informs the publication schedule which requires approval from the OfS in England and statutory HE bodies in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Following recent discussions with UK statutory bodies, we now expect to publish the HESA Student bulletin and open data in August 2024. This is to align with ongoing engagement between UK statutory bodies and HE providers on data for regulatory and funding purposes. This later publication will enable us to include any data resubmissions up until 30 April in the August HESA publications.

We will give four weeks' notice of each planned publication date.
