OWNSTU Provider's own identifier for student The internal university ID number for the individual student. This may be a string of numbers, letters, and other characters such as slashes. Further deatils can be found within the coding manual
Text "2145672 Essential Your medical school may assign additional identifiers such as 'candidate number' or 'college number'. For this field, we require the university ID number as assigned to the student by the institution upon their enrolment.
HUSID HESA unique student identifier This is the unique ID given by HESA to all higher education students, that follows students as and when they move between institutions. This is a string of 13 digits. Further details can be found within the coding manual Text "1712345671238 Optional This data item may not be routinely used by your medical school and not included in spreadsheets used internally for assessment management.
As such, this field is optional.
If you wish to include this data item but do not routinely use it, your institution's registry or equivalent department should be able to help.
SURNAME Family name Family name of the individual student.

Please note that the final dataset will not include identifiers such as names.

STUDENTSCORE Student's overall score The students final score for the assessment this row of data relates to. Number "99" Essential Please ensure that this score is expressed the same way as stated in the ASSESSMENT table and PASSMARK table.
For example, where ASSESSMENT states a score should be a percentage (and PASSMARK provides a MAXSCORE of 100, valid value would be 0-100.
An incorrect approach would be to state a score is a percentage in ASSESSMENT, then provide a raw score in STUDENTSCORE.
If a student did not sit an exam during a sitting and thus there is no STUDENTSCORE for that sitting, do not include that row of data.
ADJUSTMENT Adjustments for student Details of any adjustment the student had whilst sitting the exam, for example the amount of extra time. Text "10 extra minutes per hour"

NSTATPASS Number of stations passed Clinical exams only. Total number of stations passed or failed, if applicable. Number "7" If applicable

Other values: "Deferred" (where a first attempt is not sat and the student is allowed to take the resit sitting as a first attempt), "Nullified" (where a first attempt is sat but discounted by exam board and the resit counts as a first attempt).

Essential Where STUDENTRESULT is 'Deferred' or 'Nullified', please set ATTEMPTNUMBER as zero.
DATEASSESSMENT Date student sat assessment Date, as defined by the school, of when the assessment was taken for the particular attempt. This will correspond to one of the dates listed for that assessment in the PASSMARK table. Date "21/06/2023" Essential This date should match the DATEASSESSMENT for the relevant sitting as stated in the PASSMARK table.
