Short name | ASSACT |
Description |
This field records an indicator of whether assessment methods are actual or estimated. |
Applicable to | England Northern Ireland Scotland Wales |
Coverage | All CourseStages |
Valid entries and labels | |
Notes |
This field indicates whether the assessment methods are based on actual student choices or the institution's expectations of the modules that students will choose. Estimates will be appropriate (across all course stages) for new courses, and courses that have undergone significant revisions such that the patterns of current students are not a realistic predictor for future students. In the case of a new course where all modules are mandatory despite no actual students having taken the course, this should be marked as actual. |
